Home of Clan Crushbone.
When I made my intentions to go to Crushbone known, Eclipsia, a young and beautiful dark elf, immediately volunteered. I knew Eclipsia hadn't been fishing long but she had shown some talent; I felt it my duty to encourage her. We raced to the cave entrance and walked in to the home of the orcs.
Foul beasts! I have myself taken up the call of Kelethin to drive them out of Greater Fay and I would gladly do so again. However we were on a peaceful mission and blood in the water would only drive the fish away. We walked quietly but proudly to a tranquil spot and began to fish. It was not long before an orc walked up and challenged us. I saw a smile form on Eclipsia's blue lips. Before I got a word in edgeways, she rushed to her feet, stabbed the orc and raced after another who was standing in the background. She then wiped off her lance and came back to me, leaving their corpses there as a warning to any others who may wish to interfere with us. It did the trick.
I tactfully avoided any comments on the dark arts she practised, although I did feel a chat regarding the follies of Innoruk would be beneficial to her. Perhaps if she joins me again I will bring the subject up. She's very competitive, as all her kind seem to be, but luckily has a dry wit about her that would almost make me believe she has a touch of halfling blood in her veins, if such a thing were possible. She quickly proposed that we see who could fish the most Boar Carp and that upon catching one it was obligatory to have a drink of ale. I acquiesced, long nights in Rivervale mean I know how to hold my liquor and I believed it would give me the advantage.
It was not long before we were giggling drunkenly in the shadow of Castle Crush and had completely forgotten any danger in the heart of the orc fortress. In fact, at one point Eclipsia pushed me into the canal with both of us laughing hysterically as I swam spluttering to the surface!
We ended up with close to a stack of Boar Carp, which I've been told can be baked with a jug of sauce to make a passable meal. As it happened, we then heard from a dwarven friend who was looking for some company. We drunkenly arranged to run over to Kaladim to meet him and travel from there to Dagnor's Cauldron for a change of scenery.
